Our approach focuses on individual assessment, providing clear information and ensuring informed consent. During consultations, you have the chance to discuss your concerns, medical history, treatment options and alternatives, including the possibility of opting for no treatment at all.
Cosmetic consultations and treatments are conducted by Dr Hugo Ho, while our team carries out skin and body treatments. Every recommendation begins with listening carefully to what the patient hopes to achieve, followed by a personal assessment and a straightforward explanation of the available options. Treatment plans are tailored thoughtfully, with realistic expectations and close attention to each patient's needs.
Before moving forward, we ensure patients understand what each treatment involves. We cover its suitability, potential benefits, risks, costs and what to expect during recovery. All procedures carry risks, and results and recovery times can vary from person to person.
More Than 30 Years in Medical Practice
Meet Dr Hugo Ho
Dr Hugo Ho is a Specialist General Practitioner, Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Cosmetic Physician. He has more than 30 years in medical practice and has worked in cosmetic medicine for over 16 years.
In 2009, Dr Ho completed a Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine through the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. In 2015, he became an inaugural full member of the Cosmetic Physicians’ College of Australasia.
Dr Ho takes a consultation-led approach to cosmetic medicine. He considers the patient’s medical history, individual anatomy and what they would like to address before discussing whether a procedure may be appropriate. Treatment is not recommended where it is unlikely to be suitable or in the patient’s best interests.

ADVANCED APTOS TRAINING
Experience in Thread Lifting
Thread lifting is a particular area of experience for Dr Ho. In 2018, he travelled to Georgia to undertake advanced APTOS training directly with Dr Marlen Sulamanidze, the pioneer of thread lifting and developer of the APTOS technique.
Following this training, Dr Ho became one of the first two doctors in Australia certified as an APTOS Thread Lifting trainer. He has since trained other Australian doctors in the technique.
Every patient considering thread lifting at SWA Clinic is personally assessed by Dr Ho. If the procedure is considered appropriate, it is also performed by Dr Ho at the Merrylands clinic.
