EXOSOME HAIR TREATMENT
Exosome Treatment for Hair Loss and Thinning in Merrylands
Changes in hair density, increased shedding or a widening part can occur for many reasons. Exosome hair treatment is a regenerative approach that may be considered for some forms of hair thinning following an assessment with Dr Ho.
Exosomes are microscopic particles involved in communication between cells. They contain signalling molecules, including proteins and growth factors, that are designed to support biological processes associated with tissue repair. When used on the scalp, exosome formulations may help support the scalp environment and existing hair follicles. Responses vary, and treatment cannot restore follicles that are no longer active.

MEDICAL ASSESSMENT
Understanding the Cause of Hair Loss
Hair loss and thinning may be influenced by genetics, hormonal changes, nutritional deficiencies, medical conditions, medications or inflammation affecting the scalp. Because different causes require different approaches, an assessment is needed before exosome treatment can be considered.
Dr Ho will discuss when the changes began, the pattern of hair loss, your medical history and any relevant medications. He will also examine the scalp and may recommend further investigation or referral when another underlying cause is suspected. Exosome treatment will only be recommended when Dr Ho considers it appropriate for your circumstances.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Microneedling with Exosomes for the Scalp
During treatment, microneedling is used to create controlled microchannels across the selected areas of the scalp. The exosome formulation is then applied to the treatment area. The combination is designed to support the scalp environment and biological processes associated with tissue repair and existing follicular activity.
Temporary redness, sensitivity, pinpoint bleeding or tenderness may occur following treatment. Dr Ho will explain the procedure, relevant risks, preparation and aftercare before you decide whether to proceed.
Treatment may not be appropriate if you have an active infection, inflammation or certain skin conditions affecting the scalp. A history of cancer, current cancer treatment or immunosuppressive therapy must also be discussed during consultation.
Clinical evidence for exosome treatment in hair loss is still developing. Results vary between patients, and improvements in hair density or growth cannot be guaranteed.
